Coastal Vacation Review
By admin | June 4, 2008
When you are thinking about work from home business opportunity, you’ll find that there are many choices that are available to you. People have discovered that selling travel opportunities is just one thing that never goes out of style, and if you are in a situation where you feel that letting people have their dream vacations is something that you have a great deal of interest in, then Coastal Vacations may be for you.
Essentially, you will find that with this work from home business, you will be in a position to sell a wide variety of different vacation packages that will allow the buyer to travel to a number of different destinations around the world.
Coastal Vacations is a 13 year-old company that is based in the wholesale travel club industry and operates out of Kissimmee, Florida. They offer a home based business opportunity by marketing or selling their vacation packages through the direct selling medium.
Coastal Vacations is an association of business owners that market a travel packages at wholesale prices and sell them for retail or a business opportunity. There are three different travel packages ranging anywhere from $1295 to $11,000. Of course, the higher the price, the more the travel benefits.
Essentially, you’ll find that there is a great deal of variation in the vacation packages that you can sell. You are starting your sales around 1300 dollars, and for many people, they will begin by taking part in the program themselves. You’ll find that the destinations that are offered are fairly cursory in many countries, and that you will be issued some cards that will give you travel vouchers and discounts a wide variety of different travel-related services. This is something that many people are interested in, and many become member solely for this, especially if they are told that this is a product that virtually sells itself.
The truth is, many people have a problem with the fact that salesmanship is very much a part of this opportunity, which is something that people who are entering this business for the first time are not necessarily aware of. They should also take a look at the 2-Up commission set up. Essentially, for every 1295 dollar sale that they can make, they will earn 1000 dollars, but the problem to remember is that two sales need to be made before money will be earned.
Similarly, keep in mind that to even get involved in the first place, a person needs to buy a membership and then give the first sales that you make to a sponsor. While this might make you want to be a sponsor, you’ll find that you will have no downline, just those two sales.
First let me say that I love the industry that Coastal Vacations is involved with. Travel is an extremely lucrative niche to be involved in and not only is it the largest industry in the world, it’s also one of the fastest growing to boot. However, there were some things that I noticed when evaluating this biz opp that turned me off.
Hotels like the Wyndham and cruise lines like Carnival and Royal Caribbean as well as Celebrity Cruises have partnered with vendors included in the Coastal Vacations packages to offer the Coastal Vacations travel members free hotel stays and cruises where only taxes and fees are required by the traveler.
If you are someone who is interested in working from home, it is true that many people have seen a great deal of potential when it comes to Coastal Vacations. However, the sales aspect, the problems with sponsors and the independence that is necessary to pull it off might make it a difficult road for people who are getting involved for the first. As with any business opportunity, do your own research and make sure that you understand the risks as well as the rewards!
My advice is do a little of research before you buy any program. There are many out there…go for the one that gives you the more benefits, but do not fall for any hype. Coastal Vacations is a good business, but you won’t succeed unless you team up with the right group.
